we have in the Midwest.

A night to remember at Tshukudu

and an evening meal in the boma
under a full moon.

This is some of the game
we saw today.

We left early this morning (Friday) and headed to
Tshukudu Game Lodge. Were we in for a treat!!

After a wonderful breakfast we went to the Cullinan Diamond Mine, then the Union Buildingsin Pretoria before the most fabulous dining experience I've ever had.

We arrived in South Africa on
Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009
It was a great flight and the
weather was perfect.
A few more pictures from Ireland.
A wonderful memory for the
Moore Family.

More photos from our trip to Ireland
Scott in his kilt and Queen Lynn.

Another great day and beautiful weather for our trip from Tralee to Bunratty with a stop at the Cliffs of Moher.

Kirk & Jodee at Durty Nelly's before touring Bunratty Castle and Folk Park.

Conor Pass took us over the mountains to the north. Slow going here as the road is steep and narrow. The rugged terrain looks like some sort of moonscape. Good thing the weather was clear to see the beautiful sights.

Now we know what it's like to stay in a castle.
Ballyseede was built sometime in the 1500's and was converted to a hotel in 1965. The 5 course dinner was an experience we'll never forget.

Ring of Kerry

Tuesday -
Everyone kissed the world famous Blarney Stone so there'll be no stopping the gab now.

A return visit to Blarney Woolen Mills for more treasures then a tour of The Ring of Kerry.

Enjoying the view on Valencia Island.

Monday, September 21, 2009

Another busy day started with a walk through the streets and environs of Cobh, revealing locations and incidents directly connected to the Titanic and many other aspects of Cork harbour history and Irish heritage.

The next stop was the Jameson Distillery in Midleton with a well earned whiskey tasting session in the Jameson Bar after the tour.

After taking advantage of the shopping at the Blarney Woolen Mills, Scott and Julie enjoyed a Beamish at Christys in Blarney!

Julie and Papa having some fun.

SMILE!!!
YOU'RE ON CANDID CAMERA!!!

We started Sunday with a tour of Malahide Castle. Then on to Powerscourt House and Gardens in the Wicklow Mountains. The next stop was the Waterford Crystal Visitor Centre. A long day in the car before arriving in Blarney to enjoy a great meal and some good craic.

Looks like someone may have already kissed the Blarney Stone.

This is the view from the plane as it flew over the Irish Coast. The plane landed on time after a smooth flight.
They have toured Malahide and Portmarnpock and had lunch at Smyth's Pub (the Pub where Mary met Gerry 9 years ago). After a rest at the bed & breakfast they will have dinner in a seaside restaurant in Howth. Weather is fabulous. A great first day in Ireland.
